Kayak cruises is a brand new branch of Kayak the Nile that has opened to offer an easy, relaxed and user friendly adventure sport. Our custom designed kayaks are very stable, simple to paddle and perfect for of all ages. A great way to take it easy and see The Nile from a different, slower and more relaxed prspective. For the keen fishermen all kayaks are fitted with two rod holders.

As a company specialising in smaller groups, Kayak Cruises is able to dedicate more time to you, our client. Efficiency in our operation translates to more time on the water, where it matters. Instructors will make you feel at home on the water, you learn about your unique environment and are happy to assist you to get that special photo, see wildlife or identify birds.

Short Haul Explorer

This 3 hour trip covers the more relaxed sections of the Nile and gives you a chance to relax, have a swim or throw out a fishing line whilst soaking up another stunning African day.

Trips depart 3 times a day:- 10.00 a.m., 1.30 p.m. and
4.30 p.m. (sunset trip) - Cost $75

Sunset Trip (4.30pm departure of short Haul Explorer)

This 2 hour sunset cruise takes on some small easy sections of the River, and gives you a chance to watch the sun set over the River Nile. At the end of the

trip we have complimentary gin and tonics or soft drinks on our stunning riverside deck. This trips departs at 4.30 p.m.

Sunset Trip Lake Victoria

This 2 hour gentle cruise launches on Lake Victoris just a few km from The Source of the Nile. We float with the gentle current whilst sipping an ice cold Gin and Tonic (or soft drinks for the kids) and watch the sun set over another perfect African Day. This trip paddles past the Source of the Nile and Ghandis memorial. A great trip for kids, the keen birdwatcher or groups wanting an activity at a slower pace.

Departs daily at 4.45pm from Nile River Explorers Campsite or 5pm from Nile River Explorers backpackers.
Cost US$50.

Full Day River Cruise

This full day adventure takes it nice and easy meandering through flat pools and stunning jungle islands. En route we stop for a deli style lunch on
one of the many islands and beaches. Drifting through pools and small currents you have the chance to swim or trawl a fishing rod behind you.

If you are keen for a little longer adventure, we can custom make a lake or river Trip for up to 3 days. Camping on stunning jungle islands and white sandy beaches. The Kayak Cruises team have extensive experience of running multi day trips in the region. We are happy to design the trip to suit your budget.

Lake Victoria Discovery

This Full Day Adventure takes a support vessel so we can get out to the best and most isolated spots on the lake. The morning is spent paddling round jungle islands and offers a chance to take a jungle treck to one of the highest view points on the lake. A deli style lunch will be served on a stunning beach or on our 30ft support boat, before taking a slow and easy paddle back to base for drinks over sunset.
