The things you need to know.
Accommodation
Dormitory accommodation is provided for the duration of your course at Explorers river camp. Upgrades are available to private safari tents, private rooms, and luxury en suite rooms. Contact us for more details
Meals
Lunch is provided for the duration of your course. Other meals are available from a huge variety of bars and restaurants on site.
Guiding and Coaching
We at Kayak the Nile strive to achieve the highest standards; we employ only the highest caliber of kayak coach. All our Instructors paddle professionally and hold at least a B.C.U. Level four coach qualification or equivalent. All of our coaches have at least three years experience on this river and ten years coaching worldwide.
Equipment
We have a very wide range of playboats and river runners. All equipment is provided for the course duration. However, if you would prefer to bring your own then please contact us about special flight deals with Brussels airlines.
Transport
All river shuttles, and return Airport shuttles are included.
What to Bring
The climate here in Uganda is perfect. We have a mean temp.of around 25 deg C, so during the day shorts and t-shirt are best. In the evenings, because of the presence of mosquitoes it is best to cover up.
Medical
Please ensure that you come with valid travel and medical insurance. We can arrange evacuation insurance if required.
This is a tropical area so make sure you arrange vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis before coming.
Don't forget insect repellant and sun tan protection.
