Kayak the Nile has teamed up with our local partner Kutunza Safaris to offer Kayakers the chance to see a little more of what this beautiful country has to offer.

In 2007 the linked itineraries below are suggested itineraries for Kayakers traveling with KTN. If you would like to book a safari please complete the booking form below.

5 Day Mountain Gorilla Safari

Price based on 2 persons:
Budget trip US$1490- pp
Luxury Lodge US$2030- pp

For any trip departing after the 1st> June 2008 there will be a price increase of 10%pp

Price includes: 4x4 safari vehicle, fuel, food, driver/guide, accommodation, park entry fees, dug out canoe, Mountain Gorilla permit, ranger fees, game drive and guided wild animal walk.

Does not include: Airfares, visas, vaccinations, airport transfers, travel insurance, beverages, curios, tips, items of a personal nature any activities not specifically mentioned.

Due to accommodation & Gorilla permit availability, all prices and itinerary are subject to change without notice.

Please note this trip can start and finish in either Jinja, Kampala or Entebbe.

Safari Grading: Moderate to Difficult – do note that the mountain gorilla trekking conditions can be hard and the length of trek can be anything from 3 hours, to 10 hours. You will need a good level of fitness and mobility.

Please be advised that if we are unable to obtain gorilla permits in Uganda we will suggest you trek in Rwanda – we do have a 5 day Rwanda Gorilla itinerary available.

4 Day Murchison Falls National Park Adventure

Price:
Camping US$360- pp minimum 2 persons maximum 18.

Regular scheduled departures every 2^nd & 4^th Friday of each month (return Monday)

4x4 Safari vehicle OR overland truck, fuel, meals, driver/guide/cook, 2-man dome tents, cooking equipment, camping fees, park entry fees, boat cruise, ferry fees, falls climb, bat cave walk, ranger & guide fees.

Does not include: Airfares, visas, vaccinations, airport transfers, travel insurance, all beverages, snacks, curios, tips, items of a personal nature (please also bring your own sleeping bag & therma rest) activities not specifically mentioned and optional chimp trek & rhino walk

Optional Activities: Rhino Walk, Chimp Trek (both US$20pp)

Please note this camping trip can start and finish in either Jinja or Kampala.

Safari Grading: Easy – suitable for anyone with an average level of fitness and mobility, though do note the chimpanzee trek can vary in length from 2 hours to 3 hours.
